C.O.R.E. (Center of Restorative Exercise) is an inclusive, integrated fitness facility that bridges the gap between rehabilitation & regular fitness. Our Restorative Exercise Center empowers with intelligent exercise programming, guidance & education for, but not limited to the 1 in 5 Americans living with a disabling condition. C.O.R.E. is staffed with certified Restorative Exercise Specialists & equipped with unique & specialized equipment.

What is Restorative Exercise?

Restorative Exercise is a personalized and
progressive corrective exercise fitness
program designed and conducted by a certified Restorative Exercise Specialist (RES). The program is based upon a clients goals and focuses on improving function, independence & self-efficacy. Additionally, Restorative Exercise aims to improve and/or prevent the secondary complications and degenerative changes that typically follow a physical disability, disease and/or musculoskeletal injury.

At C.O.R.E. we believe in the restorative and preventive properties of exercise. While physical inactivity can cause the body to break down and degenerate, an active lifestyle can energize, maintain, and return function to the body. Unlike your average gym, C.O.R.E. strives to be a place where persons of all fitness and ability levels can achieve their greatest physical potential, and build a lifestyle of health and wellness that will help them to live fulfilling and empowered lives. We accomplish this with our talented staff of Restorative Exercise Specialists™ who all have a minimum of a 4 year degree in Kinesiology, have passed our rigorous System of Function™ training academy, and have other advanced certifications in personal training. Our specialists utilize the most advanced fitness equipment which is accessible by both able bodied and users with a mobility impairment.

With our system of Restorative Exercise we design exercise programs that are customized to each individual which are as effective at enhancing the strength, flexibility, cardiovascular health, balance and stability, posture, gait, and performance, as they are safe. We believe in working along side your healthcare professionals to support and supplement any medical interventions or treatment you are currently undergoing. We exist to fill the health and wellness gap that exists between physical therapy and independent fitness. After physical therapy has been successfully completed there is a continued need and benefit for ongoing physical activity conducted in a safe environment.

C.O.R.E. aligns itself with the most current research which demonstrates the preventative power of exercise, and it's ability to reduce the risk of many serious medical conditions such obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and osteoporosis to name a few. It is also C.O.R.E.’s belief and enduring philosophy that the risk of secondary complications, and degenerative changes that typically follow injury or disability may be prevented, and/or significantly reduced if exercise became an important part of the daily routine of every disabled individual following the release from medical intervention.  Additionally, the concept of extended care through specially designed exercise programs is critical for continued improvement in functional movement and independent skills, ultimately enabling the affected individual to enhance the quality of their life.

C.O.R.E. is committed to encouraging and supporting the active lifestyles of our clients through training, education, and inspiration and changing perceptions regarding the ongoing treatment and management of catastrophic injury and chronic conditions.

It is our goal to provide all individuals the opportunity to improve the quality of their life by opening C.O.R.E. facilities, which are not only feasible but accessible, in every major city nationwide.

With access to a C.O.R.E. facility and the expertise of trained clinicians, I would have avoided 30 years of a downward spiral in my ability to function. The prescribed treatment for my condition was knee replacement and prescriptive anti-inflammatory medications. With continued restorative exercise, I am walking and living relatively pain free… without surgery.
