Taylor-Kevin Isaacs,

D.Sc(c), CPT-MES, CSCS, NASM-CES, MELT, PN1

Co-Founder / Owner / Chief Clinical Exercise Physiologist & Kinesiologist / Creator of the TKI System of Function™

Dr. Taylor is an award winning Kinesiologist / Exercise Physiologist, Medical Exercise Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. This former associate professor of Kinesiology at California State University in Northridge was named the IDEA Trainer of the Year in 2002, the American Council on Exercise (ACE) Trainer / Clinical Exercise Specialist of the Year in 2002, and was the two-time Grand Champion MET-Rx World’s Best Trainer in 2000 and 2001. In July 2009, he was honored and recognized as an award winning IDEA expert author. Dr. Taylor has obtained an interdisciplinary doctorate degree (D.Sc[c]) in health promotion, and human performance.

Brittney Balam, M.S.

Operations Manager & Restorative Exercise Specialist

Brittney is currently a Restorative Exercise Specialist at C.O.R.E. She graduated from California State University of Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology.  She has been working at C.O.R.E since 2011.

“I couldn’t be happier to have found a place like C.O.R.E.. I was drawn to C.O.R.E. because I was inspired by the work of Taylor Isaacs and the unique approach in which they took on rehabilitation. It is here that I am able to work one on one with my clients and help them to reach their fullest potential. It is my passion here at C.O.R.E to provide hope, strength and possibilities for my clients. It feels good to be a part of a strong team filled with amazing individuals. I hope to continue to give inspiration to my clients as they continue to inspire me.”

 

Jon Gorospe, B.S.

Restorative Exercise Specialist

Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge (CSUN) and has completed his course-work towards a Masters degree in Adapted Physical Activity at CSUN. Jon has worked at the Center of Achievement at CSUN as a teaching associate, helping undergraduate students learn and implement adapted exercise programs for individuals with a disability. Jon has experience in land-based and aquatic-based therapeutic exercises, motor development skills with children, as well as collegiate level sports training with the Women's Basketball team at CSUN.

Jon is looking forward to learning and sharpening his craft so that he can provide the best quality of training and service to those at C.O.R.E..

Samuel Mayhall, B.S.

Restorative Exercise Specialist

Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology within the option of Applied Fitness and Active Lifestyle Development from CSUN. He plans to pursue a higher degree in the near future, but for the time being, has sought after completing certifications to further his knowledge. Sam has worked for Southern California Orthopedic Institute as a PT aide, as well as working at CSUN’s Center of Achievement, helping students or clients in both Land and Aquatic therapy.

Throughout his experience’s Sam has found immense joy in helping others reach the goals they set through physical fitness and restorative exercise.

Outside of C.O.R.E, Sam is an avid golfer and snowboarder and enjoys spending most of his time outdoors.

Stephanie Mendoza, B.S.

Restorative Exercise Specialist

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology (pre-med) from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Stephanie plans to continue her education and pursue a higher degree in the future, but for now she is completing her doctoral degree admission requirements. Stephanie has worked for 3 different facilities as a PT aide, assisting an outpatient population to regain movement and manage pain after injuries, illnesses from chronic conditions, and recovering after surgery. Stephanie has also worked as a youth trainer, leading a program developed to get elementary school level girls prepared and ready to run a 5K.

Stephanie is passionate about rehabilitation and creating connections with patients, as well as collaborating with clinicians and other like-minded individuals. Stephanie in her spare time also volunteers for the Los Angeles Mission and SOVA LA, feeding the homeless and those in need, coaches youth baseball, and enjoys watching her favorite team play, The Los Angeles Dodgers.

 

Matthew (Mags) Salvador, B.S.

Restorative Exercise Specialist

Mags holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with the option of Exercise Science from CSUN. While in his Bachelor's program, Mags worked as an intern at the Center of Achievement, helping undergraduate students learn and implement adaptive therapeutic exercises in an aquatic setting, as well as working with children with special needs. 

Mags wants to gain more experience and grow in knowledge in the field of adapted exercise, and continue to learn how to help people with disabilities. Outside of CORE, Mags likes to go to the beach to surf and spend a lot of time outdoors.

 

Miguel Fernandez, B.S.

Restorative Exercise Specialist

Miguel is a dedicated Restorative Exercise Specialist at C.O.R.E. He graduated from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. With a passion for improving movement patterns and promoting overall well-being, he brings a strong understanding of exercise science principles to his work with clients.

"I’m so grateful to be a part of C.O.R.E because it allows me to make a real difference in my clients’ lives. I’m passionate about helping people regain their strength and mobility, and I love being able to work one-on-one to provide personalized care. It’s incredibly fulfilling to guide clients toward their goals and watch them gain confidence and hope throughout their journey. The positive energy and incredible teamwork here inspire me daily, and I look forward to continuing to help my clients unlock their full potential."

 

Alexandro Sandoval, B.S.

Restorative Exercise Advisor

Alexandro holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with the option of Applied Fitness and Active Lifestyle Development. While in his Bachelor's program, Alexandro worked at the Center of Achievement, assisting clients with adaptive exercises in land and aquatic settings. Alexandro also has experience working as a physical education assistant for Burbank Unified School District, and as an occupational therapy aide at Los Angeles Orthopedic Surgery Specialists.

Alexandro has a passion for helping those recovering from injuries achieve their goals, and finds joy in motivating and encouraging clients. He aims to grow and master his craft in Kinesiology, and plans to pursue higher education to further his development as a professional. In his free time, Alexandro enjoys playing paintball, soccer, and spending quality time with his family. Alexandro's favorite soccer team is the local Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC).

 

Colby Cabrera, B.S.

Front Desk Administrator

Colby is our front desk administrator. She has been working at CORE since October 2022. She is a 2023 graduate from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and minor in Management. With this degree, Colby hopes to pursue a career specializing in graphic design marketing for a small business. For now, Colby wants to use her marketing knowledge to help CORE expand its online presence and community, as well as spread more awareness about different disabilities and illnesses. Outside of work, Colby enjoys playing video games with friends and designing flyers, party invitations, and other marketing materials.

Massage Therapists

Eric Madadian, LMT, CNMT, MMP

Neuromuscular Therapist

Eric is a licensed Massage Therapist and board-certified Neuromuscular Therapist with advanced credentials as a Medical Massage Practitioner. He completed over 2,250 hours of formal training at the National Holistic Institute (NHI), including 1,500 hours of academic coursework and 750+ hours of clinical practice focused on pain management, movement mechanics, and rehabilitative bodywork.

His specialties include neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, sports massage, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, and structural integration. He also holds certifications in aqua therapy, water rescue, cupping, kinesiology taping (K-Tape), and CBD treatment.

Eric’s path began after a career-ending injury at age twenty ended his dream of becoming a professional footballer. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for recovery and movement science, driving his commitment to helping others overcome physical limitations.

Outside C.O.R.E, Eric is a devoted Manchester United and Lakers fan whose love for athletics deepens his understanding of performance and healing.

Sandy Gallardo, LMT, CNMT, MMP

Neuromuscular Therapist

Sandy is a licensed Massage Therapist and board-certified Neuromuscular Therapist with additional credentials as a Medical Massage Practitioner. With over 20 years of diverse professional experience, he brings a unique, well-rounded perspective to his work. His career journey has spanned various fields—including the automotive industry, culinary arts as a chief cook, caregiving, military service as a United States Marine, and ultimately, hands-on healing through massage and neuromuscular therapy.

As part of his training, Sandy completed an internship with a physical therapist in Santa Monica, where he gained valuable clinical experience supporting patients through their healing journeys—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Sandy is passionate about continual learning and professional development, with the goal of mentoring the next generation of therapists. His mission is to create meaningful change—one client at a time.

Outside C.O.R.E, Sandy enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his family, and exploring Japanese culture.
